The museum displays lunar module #13, a production lunar module which was
intended to fly on Apollo 18 or Apollo 19 (depending which of the accompanying
signs one believes), but whose construction was halted prior to completion.
The spacecraft was outfitted to portray the Apollo 9 and the Apollo 11 lunar modules for the
1998 mini-series From
the Earth to the Moon. Still dressed as Apollo 11's
Eagle, it now features an astronaut stepping off the LM's
footpad, taking "one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind."
