Building 4205

Building 4205, also known as the Propulsion Research Development Laboratory, is a relatively new building, having been constructed in 2002-2004 (see also my pre-construction architectural renderings).

It sports a rocket engine display known informally as "Propulsion Park" which features an F-1 engine, a Shuttle Solid Rocket Booster, and two research and development engines, a linear aerospike, and a NERVA.

The propulsion displays are not limited to to the exhibit near the building's main entrance: On my various visits, Building 4205 has had a great many engine-related goodies parked behind it.

MSFC once had a Building 4205 fact sheet [direct link to 954K PDF].
