Shuttle Solid Rocket Booster (SRB) |
When I first visited Propulsion Park in July 2012, it consisted of F-1 rocket engine F-4023, a NERVA, and a linear aerospike engine. MSFC received an empty, joined four-segment Space Shuttle Solid Rocket Booster (similar to the SRB at Stennis Space Center) in September 2012. In October, it received an SRB aft skirt, and in November the completed SRB was installed next to the linear aerospike and the F-1. YouTube video of the SRB being installed. As of now, I have not yet sorted through all of my pictures of Shuttle Solid Rocket Booster, but some other page references this location. Thus, this is a "place holder" version right now, with only the pictures actually referenced. Come back some time later to see if I've finished up, or drop me an email to request me to prioritize the rest of these pictures. |
