heroicrelics.orgJames S. McDonnell Prologue Room |
The James S. McDonnell Prologue Room is located at a Boeing facility in St. Louis, Missouri, and houses engineering mockups of Mercury and Gemini spacecraft, a section of Faith 7's heatshield, the original RFP letter which spurred development of the DC-3, and various airplane models. The Prologue Room is located on the site of the former McDonnell Aircraft Corporation; it was McDonnell which manufactured the Mercury and Gemini spacecraft. It is located at a Boeing facility by virtue of the fact that Boeing acquired McDonnell-Douglas, which in turn was a merger between McDonnell and Douglas Aircraft Company. As of now, I have not yet sorted through all of my pictures from the Prologue Room, but some other page references this location. Thus, this is a "place holder" version right now, with only the pictures actually referenced. Come back some time later to see if I've finished up, or drop me an email to request me to prioritize the rest of these pictures. |
