Delta Rocket Models

The Prologue room displays a series of models depicting recent models in the Delta series.

The original Delta rocket used a Thor missile as its first stage. Douglas Aircraft Company, a Boeing heritage company, manufactured the Thor missile and the early Deltas, before merging with McDonnell Aircraft Corporation to become McDonnell-Douglas and eventually being bought out by Boeing.
