Overall view of the cut-away heat exchanger, from the aft end of the engine.

Liquid oxygen enters the heat exchanger and is run through the coils inside, where the LOX is warmed to create gaseous oxygen (GOX) by the hot turbine exhaust. The GOX is then routed to the LOX containers to provide pressurization.

Note the solid propellant gas generator near the top center of this photo.
