View of the forward end of the heat exchanger, showing the GOX outlet manifold assembly.

Liquid oxygen enters the heat exchanger through the LOX inlet manifold assembly at the aft end of the heat exchanger and is run through the coils inside, where the LOX is warmed to create gaseous oxygen (GOX) by the hot turbine exhaust. The GOX is then routed through this assembly to the LOX containers to provide pressurization.

Note the turbine exhaust hood at the top of this photo.
