Redstone Tail Unit Gallery

Look straight up inside the tail unit at the center unit's aft LOX bulkhead; this is counter-clockwise from the overall LOX bulkhead photo. The rusty support pole is at top.

Visible on the LOX bulkhead are the flanges for the LOX fill/drain line (left) and LOX vent.

Aft of the bulkhead flanges, on the center unit wall, are two round fittings with the square plates; the corresponding valves would have been mounted here and would have been accessible on the exterior of the missile.

The white arc is the opening between the center unit and the tail unit, allowing sunlight into the otherwise-dark tail unit; some of the connecting fittings are visible on this white ring, as are two of the four steel pads to which the engine mount was bolted (at the 8:00 [partially out-of-frame] and 5:00 positions).
