Mercury Redstone Tail Unit Interior

I had gathered some evidence to indicate that the museum's Mercury-Redstone was actually the MR-1 booster; that is, a Redstone specifically built for Project Mercury, rather than a converted tactical missile (but that is a story for a different day).

Hoping to prove that it was MR-1, I gathered some documentation detailing the differences between the missile and manned booster versions of the Redstone, presented it to the curator, and proposed that he open the tail unit to see if any of these tell-tale differences remained.

Alas, the interior of the tail unit had been quite cleaned out when it was prepared for display, and no such evidence remained. However, I was still able to get photos of the interior of the tail unit, which appear here.
