The slot on the interior of the tail unit through which the multiple pneumatic coupling lines from the multiple pneumatic coupling balcony would enter the tail unit.

The pneumatic coupling lines on the A-7 engine would connect to the fittings here, if the fittings had not been removed from the booster prior to display.

I have no doubt that, if the fittings were still installed, this photo would be in proper focus :-)
