Milestones of Flight

Prior to the museum's renovation (which which began in 2018), the Milestones of Flight Gallery was the gallery into which the main entrance led. It contained many aircraft and spacecraft representing, well, milestones of flight, including the X-1, X-15, the Spirit of St. Louis, Friendship 7, Gemini 4, and Apollo 11.
