Launch Complex 26 Gantry

A sign inside the LC-26 blockhouse states that the LC-26 gantry is the oldest gantry still standing on the Cape.

It is 112 feet tall and could be moved via a rail system between Pad A and Pad B. The gantry supported 36 launches of Jupiter missiles and Jupiter-C, Juno I, and Juno II launch vehicles.

According to the Cape Canaveral Space Force Museum's LC-26 gantry page, the gantry underwent disassembly and restoration after my visit in 2005.

Aerial view.
