Return to Air Power Park

Jupiter

Air Power Park displays a Jupiter missile. This missile's flame curtain, originally installed to protect the engine compartment from recirculating exhaust gasses, has disintegrated, allowing visitors a view into the engine compartment.

Aerial view.

If you're up for some reading about the Jupiter program, see my copy of the ABMA's monograph, History of the the Jupiter Missile System.
