In the observation area between Firing Room A and Firing Room B was an annotated window.

The accompanying sign reads

From this window you can see the oldest gantry still standing on the "Cape". The gantry provided access to the rocket for workers and afforded some protection from the weather. This gantry serviced both Launch Pads A & B here at Launch Complex 26. Currently the gantry is standing at Pad 26B. The gantry is 112 feet tall and could be moved on rails under its own power. Just before a launch it would be moved back out of the way. Note the covered room toward the top where the payload would be mated to the rocket. This gantry supported 36 launches.
