Apollo Probe & Drogue System

The museum displays an Apollo docking probe and drogue system across from Apollo 13. This probe and drogue display is probably the most complete one I have ever seen, with the forward tunnel hatch and CM docking tunnel.

The Command Module portion of the display appears to have been used for training for the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project, as there are several references to the DM (presumably the Docking Module).

The fact that the display has ASTP origins may explain the lack of the LM forward hatch in this otherwise very complete display. Also, the interior of the LM docking tunnel seems to differ from LM-2, the only production Lunar Module displayed such that the docking tunnel can be examined.
