Detail of the suit's torso.

Note the torso harness hardware on the right and the left shoulders. The straps from the personal parachute worn in case of ejection attached here.

At mid-belly is the dual-cell flotation vest featuring a water-sensitive inflator, releasing CO2 to fully inflate the cells. Each cell could also be manually actuated by a lanyard.

The round, silver item on the suit's right-hand side, under the flotation cell, is the suit controller. On the suit's left-hand side, under the other flotation cell, is the vent hose fitting.
