Shuttle Ejection Escape Suit

A Shuttle ejection escape suit is part of a spacesuit exhibit in the former von Braun office exhibit space.

These suits, based on those worn by SR-71 pilots, were worn on the first four Shuttle flights, when Columbia was still fitted with the same type of ejection seats used in the SR-71 Blackbird.
