Shuttle Ejection Escape Suit

A Shuttle ejection escape suit is part of a space suit exhibit in the former von Braun office exhibit space.

These suits, based on those worn by SR-71 pilots, were worn on the first four Shuttle flights, when Columbia was still fitted with ejection seats.

As of now, I have not yet sorted through all of my pictures of this suit, but some other page references this location. Thus, this is a "place holder" version right now, with only the pictures actually referenced.
