Saturn IB Model (Education Center)

The USSRC Education Training Center building is located a short distance is located a short distance east from the entrance to the "old" museum. I don't know if it is, strictly speaking, open to the public, but I have been in it for several events.

Proudly displayed in the lobby is a 1:20 scale model of a Saturn IB. This particular model depicts SA-201, the first Saturn IB which was launched, as it features the older model of inboard H-1 rocket engine (without the partial aspirator) and engine shrouds.

What is somewhat unusual about this model (apart from its large size!) is that Plexiglas panels and a mirror under the model allow a view into the detailed interior of the boattail. I found this especially interesting; when I photographed this model I'd not yet found any diagrams depicting the arrangement of the heat exchanger and turbine exhaust ducts from the inboard H-1 engines.
