Although the interior of the missile has been largely stripped of equipment, there are a number of items still attached to the aft skirt. I believe that the larger-diameter rods are used to provide structural rigidity to the aft end of the skirt. Referring to the Jupiter at Air Power Park (which still has its engine), the smaller-diameter rods hold a fixture around the engine's throat (presumably to anchor the flame curtain).
