Gemini 5

Gemini 5 is hung from the ceiling of a very dark, high-traffic gallery, making photography difficult.

Gordon Cooper and Pete Conrad comprised the crew of Gemini 5. This crew began the tradition of creating mission patches (although some might argue that Ed White and Jim McDivitt started this tradition by sewing an American flag on their shoulder); for Gemini 5, the patch depicted a covered wagon and the phrase "8 Days or Bust", reflecting the long-duration goal of the mission.

Even though this mission did not feature an EVA, Space Center Houston displays the spacecraft with a spacewalking astronaut.

Interestingly enough, Gemini 5 is located not far from Faith 7, making this gallery home to both of the spacecraft flown by Gordon Cooper.
