This photo was taken from the No. 1 side of the engine.

The gas generator, located to the right of the vertical fuel high-pressure duct and to the left of the diagonal turbopump support outrigger, produces high-velocity gases, which enter the turbine manifold assembly and are directed to turbine wheels, which spin a shaft to power the turbopumps.
