The Museum of Science & Industry in Chicago IL is home to Apollo 8, Aurora 7, lunar module trainer MSC-16 as well as various other artifacts. Google Maps link. In fall of 2007 the Henry Crown Space Center was undergoing renovation. I noticed that Frank Borman's Apollo 8 suit was no longer on display, and the worker with whom I spoke did not know what I meant by that spacesuit, so it's likely that it has been removed from display. Additionally, Jim Lovell had loaned some artifacts to the MSI, but I believe he recalled them and loaned them to Adler Planetarium when Gemini 12 was moved there. As of now, I have not yet sorted through all of my pictures from the Museum of Science & Industry, but some other page references this location. Thus, this is a "place holder" version right now, with only the pictures actually referenced. Come back some time later to see if I've finished up, or drop me an email to request me to prioritize the rest of these pictures. | ||||||||||||||||||||
