RL-10 Engine

The RL-10 rocket engine was used in the Centaur upper stage and the S-IV, the second stage of the Block II Saturn I.

The RL-10 has proven to be a reliable engine, and variants of it are still in production today.

Since I began visiting the museum, they renovated the gallery (circa October 2007), so I have a few photos from before the renovation as well as photos in its current setting.
