Astronaut Memorial

Sitting off on one side of the visitor center is the Astronaut Memorial.

I've read that it is designed to resemble a launch complex. The centerpiece of the memorial is the Space Mirror. Mirrors on the back direct sunlight through names carved out of black granite. A computerized drive mechanism tracks the sun, ensuring that the sun strikes the mirrors at the correct angle to light the names.
