RL-10 Engine

Perhaps because Lewis (GRC's previous name) did some early research regarding hydrogen as a propellant, they have an RL-10 engine.

The RL-10 was the first hydrogen-powered engine. Probably best known for its use on the Centaur upper stage, it was also used in the Saturn S-IV stage, the second stage of the Saturn I.

GRC has rotated the engine a bit over the years, and have also changed its interior lighting. It was sitting in a corner, which allowed access to both the cut-away thrust chamber side and the cut-away turbopump side of the engine.

As of now, I have not yet sorted through all of my pictures of the RL-10, but some other page references this location. Thus, this is a "place holder" version right now, with only the pictures actually referenced. Come back some time later to see if I've finished up, or drop me an email to request me to prioritize the rest of these pictures.
