Apollo A7LB Suit Lunar Boot

The display case with suit parts includes a lunar overboot.

Although the sign calls it a left boot, I noticed that the retaining strap assembly anchored on the right side of the boot and snapped on the left, which is indicative of right boot. Curious, I emailed the curator, who confirmed that NASM inventory records described it as an "overshoe, right, training" and said that he would correct the sign. There were no markings or records to indicate who may have used the boot.
