The boot's strap assembly and latch. Picture 3 of 4. To don the boot, the astronaut would open the retaining strap at the top of the boot's front, undo the two snap fasteners to allow the upper part of the boot to be unfolded, insert the pressure garment assembly boot (using the donning strap, as required), gather the excess material and close the snap fasteners, and then fasten the retaining strap and adjust and latch the strap assembly. The latch is the silver "hook" at center which latches to the silver D-ring. | ||||
