Detail of the second film cooling manifold.

Fuel is delivered to the reverse-"D" shaped manifold at left via four film cooling pipes. The spacer between the two walls of the combustion chamber has coaxially-drilled holes which allow the regenerative cooling fuel to pass through and make its way forward. Another set of holes, perpendicular to the first, admits fuel into the combustion chamber through the film cooling holes.
