Overall view of the cutaway V-2 engine combustion chamber.

Picture 1 of 4.

While most rocket engine diagrams and labelling from the 1950s and 1960s settled on the use of red to indicate the flow of fuel and green to show oxidizer, these V-2 cutaways seem to use blue to indicate fuel and red for oxidizer (and combustion products).

Note the blue film cooling pipe at left, feeding the four film-cooling manifolds, each indicated by a blue stub pipe perpendicular to the film cooling pipe.

Also note the cutaway V-2 turbopump at right.
