Detail of the J-2 engine's liquid hydrogen (LH2) feed line.

The stage's LOX and LH2 tanks were integral, employing a common bulkhead to separate the two tanks. Rather than penetrate the LOX tank for propellant feed as was done on the S-IC with the LOX suction lines, the engine's LH2 feed line went around the LOX tank, going outside the perimeter of the stage's aft skirt. Note that black LH2 feed line fairing at upper right.
