Apollo A7LB Suit (Suit Cart)

For several years, the USSRC had a "suit cart" exhibit which featured spacesuit components and had two spacesuits on dollies; visitors were allowed to handle the parts and the suits. One such suit was this A7LB suit (the other suit was the Joe Kerwin Skylab suit).

All of these exhibits have been off-display for several years to more closely align with modern curatorial standards.

For some reason, I have always referred to this suit as John Young's Apollo 16 suit, although I have no photographic evidence to support this. On the one hand, the suit should have an ID tag (e.g., such as the one on the Kerwin suit) and I may have seen this tag and failed to photograph it. On the other hand, John Young was the command of Apollo 16 and his suit would have had red commander's stripes, so I may just have a faulty memory.

I have a number of resources regarding the Apollo spacesuit.

As of now, I have not yet sorted through all of my pictures of this suit, but some other page references this location. Thus, this is a "place holder" version right now, with only the pictures actually referenced. Come back some time later to see if I've finished up, or drop me an email to request me to prioritize the rest of these pictures.
