When I arrived, the staff had removed the exit closure (and removed the bees which had taken up residence in the thrust chamber) and had leaned it against some other items being stored in the yard.

We see here that the closure is designed to be folded in half. Also note that the desiccant openings are intended to have a cover, as in the right-hand location. The left-hand desiccant opening shows a strap affixed to the main closure to which the cover should be attached.
