Gemini Heatshield Samples (Pre-Renovation)

Prior to renovating the space exhibits, the museum displayed two pieces of Gemini heatshield in a small case located behind Gemini 3A, one ablated and one unablated. Although there was no signage at the time, a sign on the post-renovation display indicates that the ablated heatshield sample is from Gemini 8, which is displayed without a heatshield at Neil Armstrong Air & Space.
