Slayton's Mercury Suit

The museum displays one of Slayton's Project Mercury suit. This is the only Project Mercury suit I've seen displayed horizontally (which probably decreases the stress on the suit, compared to displaying it vertically), and has the only Project Mercury boot sole which I've seen.
