Deke Slayton Memorial Space and Bike Museum

Deke Slayton was born in Sparta, Wisconsin, which is also home to the Deke Slayton Memorial Space and Bike Museum. While it may seem odd to have a single museum dedicated to an astronaut and bicycles, Sparta touts itself as the "Bicycling Capital of America".

The museum is located in a repurposed Masonic Temple and shares space with the Monroe County Local History Room.
