On December 17th, 1903, Orville and Wilbur Wright of Dayton, Ohio
achieved success in man's eternal quest to fly
when they completed the world's first
sustained, powered, controlled heavier-than-air-flight
in their fragile Kitty Hawk
Flyer.
This epoch event altered for all time
man's limitation of time and distance...
it was a historic initial step beyond the earth's surface
that ultimately led to the moon and beyond.
