Overall view of the Gemini adapter.

The Gemini adapter is composed of two sections: The shorter retrograde section to the left of the vertical line (which contains the retro rockets used to de-orbit the spacecraft), and the larger adapter equipment section, which interfaces with the Titan launch vehicle and contains the fuel cells, environmental control system, fuel for the Orbital Attitude and Maneuvering System (OAMS), and a number of electronics modules.
