Friendship 7

Friendship 7 was displayed in the Milestones of Flight Gallery by the Mall entrance during my two visits to the museum. The Smithsonian undertook a significant renovation of this gallery starting in 2018, and I understand that the spacecraft is still displayed in the Milestones of Flight, although in a substantially updated exhibit.

NASA maintains several pages regarding the flight of Friendship 7 (also known as "MA-6").

When I visited, the suit John Glenn wore on his flight in Friendship 7 was on display in a nearby gallery.
