Site of Former RL-10 Test Stand

Marshall Space Flight Center once had a test stand suitable for altitude-testing RL-10 rocket engines. It was Building 4710, or the "Liquid Hydrogen Familiarization Facility."

It seems that the RL-10 test stand is completely gone: None of the buildings appear to remain, and (looking at the Google Maps aerial coverage) the asphalt bears no scars which might hold clues to location's former use (although it appears that a cluster of high-pressure gas cylinders remain). The facility was surrounded by a comma-shaped berm, which also remains to this day (although it is heavily overgrown with trees).

Today Buildings 4745 and 4745-1, comprising the sandblast facility, are located on the site.
