Drive-by of Launch Complex 13, another Atlas pad (although with a somewhat different gantry than that at LC-14).

Picture 1 of 2.

LC-13 was used for test launches of the Atlas B, D, E, and F variants. It was later converted to launch Atlas-Agenas, including the launch of Lunar Orbiter 1. Despite being added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984, LC-13's gantry was demolished less than two months after my visit, on August 6, 2005.

Google Maps link to LC-13.
