LR-101 (Vernier) Engine

Back in 2005, the Visitor Center offered an add-on tour called "Then and Now," which drove past KSC headquarters, through the industrial area, to several historic launch pads, and to the Air Force Space & Missile Museum located on the former Launch Complex 26.

Inside the museum is an LR-101 engine, which was used as a vernier engine for the Atlas and Thor. It was displayed without its fairing, allowing a view of the gimballing mechanism.
