Thrust Chambers

The thrust chambers were in tall tubs whose diameters was not much greater than the thrust chambers themselves. I had to stand on a ladder in order to take these photographs.

There were four thrust chambers recovered (one for the Museum of Flight, one for the National Air and Space Museum, one for the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, and one for the Cosmosphere itself), of which I photographed two.

See my page on the F-1 thrust chamber.
