The holes around the outside of the top of the LOX dome are for the inner dome attach bolts which help hold the LOX dome to the injector; the dome sealing plugs (bolt hole covers) have been unscrewed and left in more-or-less place. My host told me that when the plugs were removed, the bolts were in pristine condition, with the grease still present on the bolts.

The bolts still present on the LOX dome are for the gimbal bearing.
