Overall view of the lunar module pilot's station (right side of the simulator). Note the thrust translation controller (just to the right of the DSKY, just peeking over the off-white, wedge-shaped hand rest) and the attitude controller (to the immediate left of the bottom-most circuit breaker panel). On the upper right of the control panel by the bottom corner of the window is the lunar surface "contact light". This light is illuminated when the lunar surface sensing probes make contact with the lunar surface, signalling the crew to cut power to the descent engine. The SpaceAholic Website has a number of more detailed photographs of this panel and the contact light. | ||||
