The fuel and LOX high-pressure ducts. As the turbopump was mounted forward of the gimbal bearing, the high-pressure ducts had to be flexible to accommodate the movement of the engine; the braided sections on the ducts covered bellows sections which were inserted into the ducts for this purpose.

Picture 2 of 2.

The fuel high-pressure duct is at left (inboard) and the LOX high-pressure duct is at right (outboard); this the opposite arrangement as compared to the very similar S-3D/LR-78 rocket engine.

The closure on the fuel high-pressure duct reads

RX-20684-11
Install 1 Unit Desiccant

The closure on the LOX high-pressure duct reads

RX-20684-2
Install 1 Unit Desiccant
