The torpedo's two propellers, the forward and the after propeller, spin in opposite directions to cancel out any gyroscopic effect that the propellers' rotation would otherwise have on the torpedo.

Barely visible inside the propeller hub, at the terminator between the dark and light areas, are exhaust escape holes in the after propeller sleeve.
