Detail of the combustion flask on the turbine bulkhead.

Fuel (alcohol) and air are injected into the combustion flask and ignited via the igniter. Water is then sprayed in front of the flame, superheating it. The resulting combustion gasses and steam reach 1500°F and are delivered at 450-480 psi to the nozzles which direct the gasses to spin turbine.
