Overall view of the top of the spacecraft. Picture 2 of 2. Note the bridle trough, the groove running the entire length of the spacecraft; parachute lines are stowed here before deployment. At far left, mostly obscured by the reflection of the white lettering, is the flashing recovery light. I believe the small white circle in front of the pilot's hatch, just aft of the re-entry control system section, is an antenna of some sort. I found a diagram which indicates that there's a C-band antenna in this general location, and it certainly looks like the C-band antenna on a Mercury spacecraft, but I'm not certain. | ||||
