The sign accompanying the Gemini G2C suit. It reads
GEMINI SPACESUIT
This suit was worn for Gemini Crew Escape System testing by U.S. Air Force
(USAF) Chief Warrant Officer Charles Laine. Testing was performed by USAF
parachutists. Gemini suits were worn during many NASA milestones, including
the first multi-person crew, first extravehicular activity (EVA) or spacewalk
and the first rendezvous and docking by two spacecraft.
During the Gemini 4
mission on June 3, 1965, Ed White became the first American to conduct a
spacewalk.
