dsc80652.jpg

Overall walk-around of the forward portion of the engine, including the turbopumps and LOX dome.

Picture 5 of 8.

This is LOX turbopump side of the engine.

The two circular red closures under the LOX turbopump cover the accessory drive adapter; these consist of two counter-rotating gears, powered by the turbopump gearbox. The main hydraulic pump (used power the gimbal actuators) connects to the left-hand adapter (I was unable to determine what attached to the other adapter).

Note the fuel additive blender unit (silver cylinder to the left of the accessory drive adapter).
